How Chile's Geography Determines Grape Growing Conditions

How Chile's Geography Determines Grape Growing Conditions:
· The influence of the Pacific Ocean’s cold waters:
Humboldt Drift from the Antarctica makes the average and range of temperatures of the waters of the Chilean Pacific milder.

·  The influence of the Andes mountain range
The Andes play a major role in temperatures, rainfall, and irrigation. This mountain range holds the cooling influence from the ocean and provides cool mountain breezes. In turn, these two factors concentrate rain on the west face of the hills. The ice of the Andes’ high peaks becomes an irrigationwater reserve for dry summers.

· Significant climatic variation:
From North to South determined by the latitude.
From East to West determined by the landscape.
