Top Wine Chile is the admirable enterprise of three families whose mutual passion for wine embarked them on this laudable adventure—i.e. exporting Chilean wines of the highest standards worldwide. Two of these families are from Chile: the Sutils and the Errázuriz. The Axelsens, the third party to this triad, hail from the United States.
The Sutil family has interests in several agricultural businesses in Chile and since 1989 they have been cultivating vineyards in the world-wide renowned Colchagua Valley. Aiming to produce world-class quality wines, the Sutils made a significant investment into a state-of-the-art winery and the development of new premium wine vineyards in other valleys as well.
The Errázuriz family has been immersed in the wine industry for several generations. Max Errázuriz had a relevant role in founding Top Wine Chile. His experience as one of the first entrepreneurs in Chile’s booming fine wine export industry, has given him the unique insight that has led this company into the new era of the national wine industry.

Soren Axelsen moved from Denmark to California in 1952, where he became a wine grower. From all the places he ever visited, the unique wine regions in Chile left a deep impression upon Mr. Axelsen. Soon after, Soren Axelsen and his California–based family deeply committed themselves with great enthusiasm to the exporting of Chilean fine wines to the United States and Europe.
Formal involvement among the families took place as soon as all three partners in this enterprise realized the extent to which their goals in this industry were aligned: the production of wines from the outstanding wine growing areas in Chile and the creation of world-renowned wine brands.
