Located 180 km southwest from Santiago, San Jorge is the closest estate to the ocean in the Colchagua Valley. The 252 cultivated hectares are embraced by transitional, low-peaking mountains, whose temperatures are softened by mild breezes coming from the Rapel Lake and the Tinguiririca River, and enhanced by the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean.
Consistently, the Colchagua Valley has won raves for its red wines. Wine Enthusiast Magazine honored the Colchagua Valley with the “Wine Region of the Year Award". Though the valley is particularly known for its merlots and carmenères, other "new" reds developed in this area have an auspicious future.
